In this article we explain the license manager error:
EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 28 Exit reason 5
This error will be reported in the geoslope.log file on the license manager if the license manager is running but the the Vendor Daemon (the geoslope-lmadmin service) fails to start.
Cause
- The vendor daemon is experiencing a port conflict with other software running on the computer.
- Often, the conflict is with another license manager that has the same default port settings as GEOSLOPE lmadmin.
Steps to Resolve
- The port conflict can be resolved either by making the GEOSLOPE vendor daemon port available or changing it to a different port. See article:
